Follower is now on Comic Chameleon!

Hey there, readers! Been a while since we’ve made a news post, but here’s one I’ve been sitting on for a few weeks.

Today we’re very proud to announce that Follower is now available to read on Comic Chameleon, a free iOS app designed to deliver a super slick comics-reading experience! While we have a mobile-friendly version of our site for phones and small screens, Comic Chameleon is even more tailored, allowing you to read panel-by-panel rather than having to pinch and zoom in on pages. I personally scan through each new page and block out how you’ll view each panel in the app. It’s really neat, I promise!

Reading Follower on Comic Chameleon also helps to support Follower, so if you have an iOS device, please check it out! There is also an Android version coming in the future, so don’t worry if you’re not an iOS user – you’ll be able to join the fun eventually!

Messenger & Follower are now on Patreon! That’s right, Follower (and Messenger!) are now on Patreon! After a lot of thinking, I decided it was time to try and find a way to be able to devote more time to making comics, and if I can offset my time spent at work by making the comics self-supporting endeavors, then that might be more viable. For more information, check out this special message from Eldora:

So what’s Patreon? If you’re familiar with Kickstarter or crowdfunding in general, it’s kind of like that – except on a rolling basis instead of one big funding project for one goal. Patreon enables you to pledge a monthly amount of your choosing towards the goal, which in my case, is producing Messenger and Follower. This way, I can essentially be paid for making comics, and supporters will receive rewards for their help! Additionally, there are a bunch of milestone goals which will help unlock new content for everyone to see – not just patrons – as I’m able to spend more time making comics.

There are rewards available for as little as $1 a month, like viewing an exclusive content stream just for backers, a new wallpaper every month, and more!

It’s been a long time in the making, but today’s page marks the ending of Chapter One! It’s been a pretty exciting run so far – both for myself as a webcomics “veteran,” and Delade who is brand new to all of this. We’ve heard quite a bit of good feedback so far, and we’re really excited to bring you Chapter Two very soon!

Unlike our plans for the first issue, Chapter Two’s print release will probably happen about halfway into the online updates. I’m more eager to keep the story on track than to rush the book. The entire chapter has already been written, sketched, and inked — all that’s left is to add color. I created the cover several months ago and it’s been killing me not to post it early, but you’ll be able to view it very soon!

Lastly, I want to express my thanks to everyone for reading our story so far. We hope you’ve enjoyed it, and we can’t wait to bring you all the new stuff we’ve been working on all this time.
