RELIGIOUS GROUPS CONTINUE TO EXPRESS OUTRAGE OVER ARTIFICIAL ORGAN PROGRAM
Following last week’s announcement of the [unreadable] to create perfect organs from scratch in a lab–and then easily transfer them into humans via surgery–religious groups around the world are expressing outrage over the program.
At an emergency theological conference in New York City this past weekend, Rev. Timothy Sard, speaking from the clergy’s office in the New York City commented that this is “something we have no business doing.”
Imam Muhammed Salir, also attending the conference, commented that the announcement was recieved very poorly by followers of the Islamic faith.
Similar views were also expressed by the large Jewish community, represented by Rabbi Petyr Fedeski during the conference. “Though I understand the need to want to know and understand the craftsmanship of God–and to use that for the betterment of all–such misuse of that power can be all but guaranteed.”
