Some things have been going on this past week, which look like they’re threatening to go into next week and beyond. I am exhausted and have barely had time to look at the next upcoming page. Here’s a very condensed version of things.
In short: the raccoon has been safely removed, we have been blamed for inviting (?????) the raccoon into our home, and the threat of eviction remains very real. During a global pandemic. That Delade and I have spent the past year doing everything within our power to avoid catching. Anyway, I feel like screaming, and if you’d like to help us get out of this situation dealing with people who are absolutely bonkers (“wacky,” to use the term of my mental health professional), I’ve started a moving fund on our Ko-Fi. Buying comics on Gumroad or subscribing to our Patreon helps, too.
So, I meant to have today’s page up, uh, today, but was unable to finish it on time since a dump truck smashed into a power line near my house and took out power for most of my town, for most of today. I’m working on getting it finished up now and I’ll have it posted ASAP! Sorry for the delay, I know this is an interesting spot in the story.
If you’re ever wondering what’s up with a late page, I generally post about them on my Twitter @radio_chio, rather than cluttering up the news section here with notes. But it’s been a while, so it seems like a good idea to make mention of it again.
Thanks so much for your patience, and I’ll probably be making a pot (or several) of coffee to get this done and posted as quickly as possible!
Phew, it’s been a while since we’ve made a news post. There usually isn’t much to say aside from comments on each week’s page, but since we missed last week’s, and probably will miss this week’s, it’s time for an update.
As I mentioned previously, Delade and I are in the middle of moving to a new apartment. All’s going well, but definitely taking a lot longer than planned. Right now, my comic-making tools and other supplies are scattered in boxes, between two houses. We’re hoping to be done with all that this week, and then I can get back to work.
So, in short, the comic is having a micro delay, and will be back to normal starting next week. Even if I have to find a public wifi spot to post it.
In other notes, 2014 was a pretty good year for Follower: we printed our first issue, made it almost to the end (!!) of the second chapter online, and have plans in the works for the third. We’re both really excited about where the story is going this year, and I’m personally very excited about being able to compile the second issue for print very soon.
We also were incredibly thankful for our Patreon supporters these past few months. You’ve helped enable us to keep making comics, and even eat sometimes! That’s pretty awesome, and it’s so encouraging to keep doing what we do. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
Thanks for your patience with our little unplanned delays, and we wish you all the best in 2015!
